I remember all the freestyle battles we used to have on the bus riding to games. We were always joking, laughing, and having a good time. Those were some great memories. He’s been my friend since 6th grade at Merrill Middle School, and we’ve stayed close all the way through graduating from Roosevelt High School. Vince was a great soul who had a lasting impact on so many players, and especially on me as a coach. He had a way of calming people down and making them laugh, even on their toughest days.
